2020 and 2021 were challenging for the construction industry

What a crazy time it's been for the construction industry. 2020 and 2021 were challenging to say the least. As a preferred developer for Dollar General, Oxford Chase Development saw its share of challenges and met them head on.
Although the industry saw many delays and shortages, Oxford Chase found creative ways to proceed and still deliver all our buildings on time to our customer. In 2020 we built and delivered four new Dollar General locations. Marion Station, MD, East New Market, MD, Greensboro, MD and Eden, MD are all towns in small rural areas of the Eastern Shore. Some only have one small grocery store or some just a small convenience store to serve their needs. Bringing much needed groceries and household necessities to these communities these stores ensure that families have what they need conveniently and without having to travel miles to meet their basic needs.
Oxford Chase Development will be bringing that same convenience and affordable goods to four additional towns in 2022 and 2023. In the pipeline for 2022 we will be developing Dollar Generals in Easton, MD, Hurlock, MD, Cambridge, MD and in early 2023 Rising Sun, MD.
Oxford Chase has been a preferred developer for Dollar General since 2012. All the developments to date, twenty-five to be exact, have been Pre-Engineered Manufactured Buildings (PEMB) made of high-grade steel. We are excited to change that up and our Cambridge, Maryland Dollar General will be a wood framed building from the ground up. The architectural requirements are going to make this Dollar General stand out like no others. When local zoning and comprehensive planning require certain aesthetic conditions, Oxford Chase meets those head on and along with our partners creates the look that fits the appearance that towns expect.
